Angela Hadfield (She/Her)

Bereaved Parent / Parenting After Loss Support Group Facilitator

1) Describe briefly how you got involved with Empty Arms.

I be came involved in Empty Arms in the fall of 2023.  I lost my son, Henry in July and moved my family from VA to MA in August.  I knew that I needed to connect with others who experienced the same type of loss, and was so lucky to come across the website for Empty Arms.  I reached out via email and attended my first meeting in September.  The support groups have been such a critical part of my healing and I do not know where I would be without Empty Arms.

2) What makes you most proud of the work we do/What do you like most about Empty Arms?

I love how large the community is, because it allows us to connect with others with very similar stories to our own.  Everyone can find a place that fits them at their specific point in their grief journey.

3) Share a passion in your life and/or work outside of EABS.

Outside of EABS, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 daughters, Julia and Hannah.  We love to travel as a family, especially to Disney World!  I also work full time as a finance director for Nightwing which brings me back to VA monthly.

Angela is located in Mendon, MA.
