Dianna Martin (She/Her)

Bereaved Parent / Peer Companion Liaison / mom, sister, daughter, first born Virgo

1) Describe briefly how you got involved with Empty Arms.

I came upon EABS when my friend lost her baby only to find myself in her shoes 16 months later.

2) What makes you most proud of the work we do/What do you like most about Empty Arms?

My most proud moment so far at EABS is being asked to join the EABS with a goal of creating a team/community between companions and hospital staff-hence my Liaison title. We are working hard at building our team of available companions, making them feel comfortable supporting our newly grieved families. We are also working to educate and support hospital staff when EABS companions are not available, ensuring our families still receive the same great services until we are able to visit with them.

3) Share a passion in your life and/or work outside of EABS.

My passions beyond EABS include trying new food whether it’s a new restaurant or trialing a new recipe. I also love being outdoors, on a hike or in my bike.

Dianna is located in West Springfield, MA and is a RN and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
