Kerry Stahelski (She/Her)
Bereaved Parent / Infertility & Loss Support Group Facilitator
1) Describe briefly how you got involved with Empty Arms.
I became involved with Empty Arms back in 2020 when I miscarried our twins. My husband and I were struggling with infertility and were so happy when we became pregnant and shocked when we found out we were expecting identical twins. At our next ultrasound we discovered that our twins’ hearts had stopped. Miscarriage and infertility can both be very isolating situations and going through all of it in the midst of the pandemic was very lonely. Empty Arms did an amazing job of providing support during the pandemic and easing the loneliness with their caring and supportive community.
2) What makes you most proud of the work we do/What do you like most about Empty Arms?
One thing I really love about Empty Arms is the variety of support groups we offer. Although we all come to this community as bereaved parents our experiences are unique and it is great that everyone can find a support group that is the best fit for them.
3) Share a passion in your life and/or work outside of EABS.
There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my family. My husband and I have two young daughters and two dogs who keep us plenty busy. I am also very passionate about my job as a high school special education teacher. In my limited free time you can find me reading a book or watching the Patriots!
Kerry is located in Oxford, MA and works as a Special Education Teacher.
