Marielis Sanabria-Rivera is the mother of Jaymarie, and herself had Carol as a peer companion when Jaymarie was born in September of 2021. For over two years, Marielis has been helping Empty Arms to bolster its services to Spanish speaking families, all while going through an accelerated nursing program at UMass. She is now a nurse at Baystate Medical Center and is committed to offering bedside companion services to Empty Arms families.
