Stacia King (She/Her)

Bereaved Parent / Expecting your Next Baby Support Group Facilitator

1) Describe briefly how you got involved with Empty Arms.

I became involved with Empty Arms after my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. I had tried another support group but Empty Arms felt like home, and continued to be a support for me throughout a subsequent loss and infertility challenges.

The thing that I find so unique and helpful about Empty Arms is how specialized the support is. By recognizing that different types of losses come with different challenges, they are able to create truly unique spaces where people are able to find community and feel understood by and connected to others with similar experiences.

2) What makes you most proud of the work we do/What do you like most about Empty Arms?

3) Share a passion in your life and/or work outside of EABS.

I love to be outdoors! Going for walks, hikes, or just playing in the backyard brings me peace and clarity.

Stacia is located in Tucker, GA where she works as a Child and Family Therapist. When she received support from EABS, she was living in Boston, MA, and is originally from Russell, MA.
