Miscarriage Resources

Experiencing a miscarriage can be deeply disheartening, confusing, and isolating. Often, it happens unexpectedly, leaving little time to prepare for such a loss. You might feel alone in this experience and seek comfort in knowing that others have been through it too. You’re not alone, and you’ve come to the right place for support.

Are you currently miscarrying, or expecting a miscarriage?

We’re so sorry you are facing a devastating, potentially sudden and unexpected loss. If you need immediate support and companionship, please visit our Time of Loss page.

We welcome you to read our Making it Through your Miscarriage booklet, lovingly written by our Empty Arms community of parents who have suffered a miscarriage, describes the various emotional and physical experiences that can accompany a miscarriage and offers guidance for seeking support during and after your miscarriage.

If you are grieving following your miscarriage, you may be feeling alone and devastated by the abrupt end to your pregnancy.

If you’re seeking one-on-one support:

You can check out our Individual Support page.

If you’d like to join a support group:

Read more about our Miscarriage and Early Pregnancy Loss Support Group. A sense of community can be an incredibly helpful resource to understand a miscarriage and the accompanying thoughts and feelings.

If you have experienced a miscarriage and are thinking about/in the process of trying for another baby (including surrogacy and adoption) you can join our Trying for Another Baby After Loss Support Group.

Not local to Massachusetts?

At this time, our TFMR Support groups, our LGBTQ+ Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Groups and our BIPOC Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Groups are the only support groups that include nation-wide participants.

We'd like to suggest that you look at these national organizations below that host online support groups. It's possible you might even find an in-person support group in your community, or other bereaved parents in your state who can help you find something that is closer to home.
